About Me

Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Welcome to "Cogknitive images" photography, where Holly Coggin and Kristi Knitter work as a team to create keepsakes that are a reflection of each individual. We believe that a photography session should be as fun for you as it is for us! Therefore, we generally use you as our guide. It is our goal to capture you doing things you enjoy with the ones you love. We hope you enjoy this sampling of our recent work and please consider us for your future photography needs.

N. Man is One....

and he likes cake!  No doubt about it, this young man has had a momentous first year.  When we first met him he was just sitting up, cruising the next time we visited, and full out walking at one.  We weren't sure what mom and dad were going to say about our smash cake, but we had to give it a try.  It's the one time in his first 18 years that mom is not going to correct his table manners!  One of our guys was concerned that N. man might be scared of clowns.  Sweet thought, but no worries there.  I think he was more scared someone was going to take the cake away :)  Thank you, N., for sharing such special moments with us.  We just adore this sweet little family and hope we get to see them more over the coming years.

This was our second meeting with the fabulous Miss M. and boy has she grown!  She is full of curiosity and is trying her best to talk.  The coos and gurgles are almost constant when she is happy, and most of the time, she is a happy girl.  Her only blip during her photo shoot was when she got hungry.  After a quick snack, she was ready for her close ups!  We really wanted to get her outside but she didn't really like the wind very much.  That's fine because at 6 months the weather should be more to her liking :)

Hey, just wanted to say that we are still here!!  We decided to take the past long weekend off-completely!  No scheduled shoots but the "cog" in the business did some legwork and scouted out some ideas for weddings.  All the "knit" can claim is a cleared out laundry room :)  That being over, though, we wanted to share a few here of our sport loving family.  We are particular fans of black and white so that's how we showed them off here.  Our baby girl has spent about 8 months in leg braces.  Yep, it's been pretty much 24-7 for her and the family.  They were so happy to have shots of her in her wonderfully straight and strong legs.  Made us both smile to share in their good fortune!
We have two or our baby clubbers for the weekend and the weather forecast for Saturday is promising-keep your fingers crossed because we are itching to go OUTSIDE!!

So, sometimes you can't explain why you really get hooked on a picture.  This one hooks me.  I don't know if it's the reflections or how I remember how very fascinated she was with the reflections.  She got totally lost during the "family" session on a window seat with fantastic light coming in to play with her shaker.  She didn't even care that I snuck over there with a big camera-nothing was taking her eye off the shine.  All Ohio State fans should hope that Urban has such focus!!

For all the "Bama Fans!

We can post more later of our baby girl S., but for now, here's a few for Grammy!  Her Grammy is THE biggest Alabama fan I've ever personally known.  Heck, it's Grammy's hat she's sporting here!  So, just for Grammy, here's a 'Bama girl if I ever saw one.  Dare I say "Go Vols?"

Sweet Saturday Morning

Well, someone had dance class and had to stop by and see me :)  Actually, I was called and asked to take her picture in her very pink tutu.  Now, this is the girl who hasn't let me have a camera around her in about a year, so I was excited to have her over!!  She even asked me to take a picture of brother, so what's a photographer to do?  Snap, shoot, pose, dance!!
