About Me

Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Welcome to "Cogknitive images" photography, where Holly Coggin and Kristi Knitter work as a team to create keepsakes that are a reflection of each individual. We believe that a photography session should be as fun for you as it is for us! Therefore, we generally use you as our guide. It is our goal to capture you doing things you enjoy with the ones you love. We hope you enjoy this sampling of our recent work and please consider us for your future photography needs.

Little Drummer Man! Not a Boy Anymore:/

This handsome man is super special to us.  His mom is a long time friend and I so remember knowing when this guy was planning his entrance into the world!  It's so hard to believe that he will be entering his senior year this fall.  Mom and Dad have raised a wonderful young man.  He is polite, soft spoken, and super talented on that drum he'll continue to play this fall with the band!  Here are just a few from our afternoon on another dear friend's farm.  Great guy and great location-makes for more special memories for us all!

Walking into Summer!

Can't wait to walk barefoot for a couple of months!!  Call me a redneck, country bumpkin, or hillbilly, but some of my best memories  are from when I was a little girl and ran all over the fields with no shoes!!  Your feet were pretty much as tough as the soles on any shoes, but it was the unarguable sign that it was summer break.  This shot was one that wasn't even posted from Miss C's shoot, but it screams of summer to me.  Since today marks our official last day of school, throw the shoes in the corners, kids, and have yourselves some summer :)

Ten is Terrific!

This beauty is following a family tradition of having 10 year old portraits done.  She really embraced the event, too!!  She had brothers in tow, changes of outfits, and lots of cool poses in mind.  Not to mention, there was a refreshing splash or two to cool down a on a hot day.  Mom wanted a Murfreesboro feel to the shoot, so we shot around the square and in Cannonsburg. The weather threatened to run us out, but  honestly we are so glad we got it in.  The light was scrumptious:) Here are just a few from the afternoon to enjoy, Miss C!

Newborn Miss M!

We have gotten to be with sweet baby M's mom and dad for engagement and wedding.  You remember as a kid, "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Andy with a baby carriage!"  Well, really, that's how I feel!  They feel like part of the family now, and what a sweet addition, huh?  She was a super trooper with everything we curled her up in and changed her into.  Mom could hardly believe how cooperative she was!  We think she just takes a natural liking to us.  We did to her, that's for sure.  Hope you guys enjoy your peek on the viewing site!

A Look for Mothers

Well, there are action pictures that capture the moment, the movement, and the speed of the game.  Then, there are the pictures that capture the spirit of why we play and why we love and why we watch.  We play for all the little boys with big hearts and big league dreams.  The sweet souls that we love so much and have loved since we first held them in our arms.
Don't you just know that the moms of professional baseball players still see those sweet eyes and sweet memories when they look at their "little boys!"
In honor of Mother's Day, just wanted to post one of my favorite current pictures of part of what I love about being a mom, wanted to say thanks for my mother who taught me how much it means to be there for all the moments, wanted to share with other moms who know how precious the moments are that are quick looks of "Hey are you watching me, mom?"  Yes, baby, we are watching...and loving it all!
