About Me

Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Welcome to "Cogknitive images" photography, where Holly Coggin and Kristi Knitter work as a team to create keepsakes that are a reflection of each individual. We believe that a photography session should be as fun for you as it is for us! Therefore, we generally use you as our guide. It is our goal to capture you doing things you enjoy with the ones you love. We hope you enjoy this sampling of our recent work and please consider us for your future photography needs.

Needing Warmth!

Holly and I had a discussion about one fine day actually getting back outside in some beautiful sunshine to shoot again!! We are definitely NOT winter people, so we have a long haul in front of us as it is really just beginning. Couldn't resist posting some gorgeous eyes of summer play as a reminder of things to come. Meanwhile, think we'll have to wrap some kids up and take pictures whenever the sun graces us with an appearance!

Murfreesboro and Nashville Portrait Photography-Baby Mills

New baby Mills (short for Miller) joins his own personal party of five. Mills makes six! He joins the clan... Will, Jill, Lill, and now Mill! So, okay, I shortened some of the names for effect!! His very busy mom somehow made time to let us take his portraits. We so enjoyed the pictures and the time with sweet Mills and his precious mommy. McCall and Mills had a nice visit, too! He's certainly one we look forward to watching grow up. We hope to get the whole bunch outside for spring pictures when it's pretty.

Start the decorating!

Well, hubby always decorates the front entrance of our subdivision. So today, he called for help. I figure the best help I could really offer was to keep the boy occupied. He's so used to the camera that he was more than willing to play with me. Happy start of the season....more tidings of good joy to come!

Murfreesboro Wedding Photography-More engagements!

Sarah and Dan have a spring wedding planned. We can only hope that the weather is as beautiful for that day as it was for the one they chose for engagement pictures. The saga of the day is a long one. Summing it up, we had two car "incidences," but everyone handled it all quite gracefully. Not to mention, came back with some beautiful pictures to chose from. Congratulations!

Murfreesboro Photography-Fall Foliage Uses

So, when one has a brand new baby doll one must play with it! I now completely understand the concept of taking a newborn's picture as soon as possible. She was so satisfied with her surroundings. Luckily, the weather was exceedingly gorgeous. Nonetheless, Holly and I didn't share the fact that we had her out in the leaves until we unveiled the pictures. I mean, when the family sees these pictures, how could they fuss about us having her outside?! I love the fall colors especially with her beautiful complexion. We are showing color here versus the black and white photos from her birth. I love both black and whites which are so classic and elegant and the color shots which can be so vibrant and sharp. Needless to say, we are loving having McCall around!

Baby Coggin of the "Cog" in our Cogknitive is here!

After much anticipation, sweet baby McCall arrived today at 5:20 p.m. All was well with both mom and baby, not to mention that the extended family held up well also! She is a doll baby. Holly will not want me to post the picture here of her (although she is gorgeous after just giving birth!), but it's one of my favorite of all times. It already looks like momma's in love with this sweet baby girl. For all of us moms (and dads) out there, we truly know that miraculous feeling upon meeting our newborns. Congratulations Coggin family!

Murfreesboro wedding and engagement photography

We got to meet Judd today for the first time. Sarah was already feeling like one of the family, but this was the first time we had them together. They are a lovely couple. We had just as lovely of a day to capture their engagement photos. Can't wait to see the dress!!

Baby Maddox

Mr. Maddox just turned 1!  What a wonderful age to photograph... so precious and they can't run away just yet!
